Persian rug
This knitwear piece is made from fragments of a Persian rug belonging to my grandmother, which I printed, cut, and mixed into the knit. The irregular arrangement reflects the idea of memory as fragmented, where images and details are stored in the brain as disconnected pieces. The fragments are woven into the garment like pieces of memory embedded in the body.
